SOO Green HVDC Link’s underground installation of insulated and self-contained cables will limit impacts to the environment and surrounding agriculture.
SOO Green will install cable in a trench that is closed and will remain sealed for the entire life of the project. In the event of unforeseen damage or cable malfunction, cable can be replaced and/or repaired by accessing the line from ‘splice vaults’ located along the line, eliminating the need to reopen the trench and further disturb soil.
